Tropical Fruit Smoothie 1 frozen banana 1 cup fresh pineapple 3/4 cup soymilk 1 tablespoon sugar or honey (optional) Blend all ingredients for 1-2 minutes, or until smooth and creamy. Makes 2 servings. Banana Strawberry Smoothie 1 sliced ripe banana, frozen 1 1/2 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries 1 cup unsweetened apple juice the secret is to use well-chilled juice and frozen fruit so that you end up with a thick, slushy shake. combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. serve immediately. makes 3 1/2 cups. Orange Fizz Smoothie 1/2 cup orange juice half a large orange, peeled a few cubes of ice 1/4 cup soymilk 1/4 cup sprite/7 up 1/4 cup sugar Put everything in blender, and mix until smooth or creamy or whatever. If you refrigerate it the milky foam and juice will seperate, so just put in a container you can shake up later. It tastes like an orange creamsicle! Breakfast Fruit Smoothie 1/2 cup orange juice 1 banana 6-7 frozen strawberries 4-5 frozen peach slices several frozen blueberries 6-7 ice cubes Put all ingredients except ice cubes in blender. Puree until smooth. Add ice, then puree again. Very Berry Smoothie 2 scoops rasberry sorbet (edy's whole fruit sorbet is vegan) 4 frozen strawberrys several frozen blueberries several frozen blackberries 16 oz. orange juice (or a juice of your choice) Put all ingredients into blender, adding the juice last, and blend. For more thickness, add more sorbet or a couple of ice cubes. Serves one. Ollie's Tangarine Smoothie 1 frozen tangarine (peel, then remove seeds and rinds before freezing) 1/2 cup fruit juice (V8 splash, or its generic counterpart are good), chilled 3 heaping tablespoons applesauce 3 scoops sorbet (i used edy's whole fruit mandarin orange sorbet for this) 1 tablespoon sugar (if needed) Blend tangarine and juice together. Then add applesauce and sorbet. If it's too bitter, add sugar. If you want it to be creamier, add soymilk. If you just want it thicker, add more sorbet or a couple cubes of ice.
